Is it better to buy or rent a Japanese cell phone? Well, if you’re going to be living in Japan for quite a long time, I would suggest buying a Japanese cell phone. Unless you’re going to be living there for awhile, you won’t need it. However, if you are going to make Japan a hangout for quite a long time I would definitely suggest buying the cell phone. Japanese cell phones come in all shapes and sizes and I’m sure that you’ll be able to find one at your nearest cell phone rental store. Just keep in mind that if you’re only going to be there for a short time just rent a phone.
